Floridaaaaaaaah!

We left Georgia at the beginning of Apri and headed over to Eufaula, Alabama for a couple of days, staying at Lakeport State Park.

We were the only campers in this loop, beautiful site, full hook ups, great hiking trail right along the Chatahoochie River began right behind our rig.

We love taking wildlife drives and Eufaula Wildlife Refuge was great!
The first thing we saw were snapping turtles crossing the road!

Next stop, Panama Beach City, Florida.

We stayed at the Tyndall Air Force Base Fam Camp just east of Panama City, one of the many great advantages of Vince being retired military

Here's our spot.....
and here is the view from our spot overlooking Pearl Bayou.  We could not let Fritz get in the water here due to the alligators.

Mexico Beach, to the east of the AFB is one of the few beaches that allows dogs.  Easter Sunday, after I attended Calvary Chapel Eastgate in Panama Beach City, we packed up our lunch and headed for the beach.  Fritz had a lot of fun swimming, chasing the ball, and making friends with all the other dogs playing on the beach!

Our Canadian friend, Don, captioned this picture "Easter Gnome Raises Cane"!

Beautiful white sands, warm water; very different than the southern California beaches that I grew up on!

Our son-in-law Stacy has a sister that live in Panama Beach City.  She and her husband own Black Jack's motorcycle shop.  It was great to finally nmeet her!!

Vince was able to add another Coast Guard Station visit to his list.  They always take him on a tour of the station and the boats and make him feel very special.  It is great to meet the young "Coasties" and thank them for their service!

We spent one day geocaching the length of Mexico Beach City.  This pelican was sitting by one of the caches.  They hang out by the fish cleaning stations waitning for a handout!

The day before we left the area we took our dinner to the beach to enjoy the sunset!
